What is a mindset coach?

The most common question I get is 'What is a mindset coach?'


A mindset coach helps people to change their mindset or their thinking and beliefs in order to achieve their goals. They work with clients to identify and overcome limiting beliefs- exploring what might be getting in the way and then developing a positive and growth-oriented mindset. Following this, a plan for achieving their desired outcomes is typically created.


Some of the areas commonly worked on with a mindset coach can include improving self-esteem and confidence, setting and achieving goals, managing stress and emotions, improving relationships, personal growth, career development and starting a new chapter in life.


Mindset coaches use a variety of techniques such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness practices, positive psychology and self-reflection to help clients make lasting changes in their thinking and behaviour. They may work with clients in one-on-one sessions, group coaching, or through online programs.


Mindset coaches may work with in a variety of settings: with athletes to improve their athletic performance, with performers to improve their confidence and presence on stage, with students to enhance their academic results, with professionals to improve their performance in the workplace or with individuals to get more out of their personal lives.


Fundamentally, a mindset coach is someone who is in your corner that can help you to develop the mental skills needed to perform at your best, overcome the barriers that are preventing you from achieving their goals, and create a plan for a more fulfilling and successful life.
